What it is?

Photochromic lenses darken depending on their exposure to UV radiation and discolor faster than ever while offering 100% protection from the harmful rays of the sun and blue light.

Why should I choose photochromic lenses?

The advantage of photochromic lenses is to regulate the appropriate amount of light that enters your eyes resulting in clear and relaxed vision while providing maximum protection from UV radiation.

The lenses react immediately (within 30 ‘) to their exposure to UV radiation. The level of darkness depends on the amount of UV radiation present in the environment, time and position of the sun. While they discolor when there is no presence of UV radiation. An estimated time for complete discoloration is six to ten minutes. The gradual discoloration helps in the easier and more natural adaptation of the eyes to the new lighting conditions.

Photochromic lenses offer 100% protection from UVA and UVB rays. Sunlight contains 2 types of harmful wavelengths, UVA & UVB. UVA rays penetrate deep into the skin, causing the skin to age faster. UVB rays are mainly responsible for sunburn.

All lenses reduce exposure to blue light indoors and outdoors. As the lenses react to their exposure to UV radiation they darken and further reduce the eyes’ exposure to blue light. Internally, the lenses, due to their color, protect you from the blue-purple light emitted by artificial light sources (LED lamps and fluorescent lamps, electronic devices, halogen lamps).
